I HAVE LENOVO 3000 N 100 WITH INT.CAMERA,IT USED TO WORK FINE IN XP.
I HAVE INSTALLED WINDOWS 7 HOME BASIC,AND I AM NOT GETTING CORRECT DRIVERS FOR CAMERA ,CHICKONY.LITTEON CAM.
Install the driver for windows Vista first,
1) Bring up the device manager. You do that by clicking on Start button and then type 'Device Manager' in the search box. Select the "Device Manager" in the list.
2) In the list of devices, you will see "Chicony USB 2.0 Camera" with yellow bang on it. You will see either code 19 or code 1 as error codes.
3) Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".
4) In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
5) Then in the Action menu of Device manager, select Scan for Hardware changes option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled
Same goes for LiteOn Camera Driver.
Everything will be fine after that.
You are simply missing a driver, you should download it from the manufacturer website if you don't have the software for it!
for Example if the webcam is from Lenovo then visit Lenovo website...
First uninstall the older device drivers and then install the latest
device drivers. You can also download the latest webcam drivers from the
internet and install the new device drivers.
Now go to manufacture site & in the download option, select your model number.
After selecting the laptop model number from site, click on 'Software & Drivers Downloads'.
Now you need to choose your operating system & select the given updates & follow all instructions to download it.
After complete download, install supported driver for your laptop
webcam. After install driver, reboot your laptop again and check that
your webcam is working properly or not.
I hope it will fix your webcam not working issue if laptop is not facing any hardware issue.
