Nintendo DS Lite Logo
Posted on Jan 05, 2010

My daughter has a DS Lite which works fine except the bottom left hand of the touch screen does not recognise the stylus - she has to touch the screen 3 or 4mm away from the actual point to make it work. Any ideas?

You could try to recalibrate the screen but unfortunatly sounds like you will have to replace the touch screen. its a very common problem.

My daughter changer her DS lite to spanish.. how to i get it back to english?

Change the language

  1. Remove all games from the Nintendo DS.

  2. Turn the system on by pressing the POWER button.

  3. Tap the screen using the stylus when the "Touch the Touch Screen to continue" message appears.

  4. When the main menu appears, use the stylus and tap on the Settings Menu Panel at the bottom middle part of the screen.

  5. Tap the wrench icon (the leftmost icon).

  6. Tap the globe icon.

  7. Tap the box for the language you wish to choose.

  8. Tap the bottom-right box to confirm the selection (it says "Confirm" if the menu is in English).

  9. Wait for the the confirmation message to disappear, then tap "Go Back," then "Quit," then "Yes" to exit. The unit will shut down automatically to save the settings.
I take no credit for this answer; i got this from nintendo. Just glad i was able to help.

How do you brighten the screen

Hi,

You need to go to the DS lites menu.Firstly take out any games you may have in the DS lite and then switch it on, when ready the DS will ask toy to touch the screen, do this and it will then take you to the DS menu.

If you look in the bottom left-hand corner of the touch screen you will see a little yellow sun, if you tap that with your stylus it will change the brightness (there are 3 levels of brightness to choose from).

All done. :)

Bottom touch screen of DS Lite unresponsive. Been working fine for over a year. Now out of guarantee period. What should I do?

Well, if you've touched the bottom of the screen with anything but the stylus, then that could be why it's unresponsive. I know that "the llama's adventures" has a DS screen repair kit, but it requires a bit of cash, time, and expertise.

DS Lite bottom touchscreen seems "stuck"

i think you should either get a new ds or tap the touch screen hard. if tapping the touch sreen harder does not work then that means it is time for a new ds.

Cant play any game

Is this the top screen or the bottom screen? The top isn't meant to react to the stylus.

Nintendo DS Lite Touch Screen Fades

You're going to have to send it in for repair. It sounds like it's out of warranty, which is unfortunate.
