Wep170 won't turn on....when charging its blue and blinking

If you haven't used the device for a year, it is not surprising that it may not charge. The rechargeable Lithium ion battery may no longer accept a charge, especially if it was stored in a zero-charge condition. It' probably time to replace it. In the future, try to charge anything you don't plan to use for a while to 50-70% of full charge before storing it. I have destroyed a number of cordless phone batteries by letting them sit for a few weeks after a complete discharge, but luckily they are easy to replace.

wow guys, this is not about an automobile, it is a steam cleaning machine. sorry , ihave no solution, but if it is any consolation ,i have the same problem. will let you know if i find anything. i sent mine in to the same outfit in florida. now have paid almost as much in repairs as it originally cost. sad.... really like this machine when it works. seriously searching for diy repair help.

Are you able to plug it in via ethernet?

I found out that not all Samsung bluetooth phones are compatible with this WEP 170 Bluetooth handset. I called my carrier (AT & T) and they informed me that my mobile phone (also a Samsung SGH 700 series) might not work. I'd advise checking with your carrier to see if they can help clear up any problems.

mine shows the orange light while charging but never turns blue no matter how long i charge it and it wont turn on. i only used it for 1 hour before it shit out on me. i got it on ebay so i dont know what to do

I had the same problem when I purchased mine. There was nothing to do except return it for a replacement.
