Red means it is going into shutdown because something is wrong.

It will not come on again until problem is found and corrected.

What is model number and do you have a warranty?

It's the capacitors on the power supply, it's a common problem, either buy a capacitor repair kit (yes they make them) and have a TV tech solder them on, or buy a new power supply board (about $200) and remove and replace it yourself (it's that easy)

You can try pulling the AC plug overnight in case the problem is caused by an IC that has locked up but it is more likely due to a main power supply that is not starting up.
This is a fairly common failure mode and often caused by a 20 cent component that should have cost 50 cents. There are points in modern supplies (called 'switched mode') that are critical to operation and the quality of electrolytic capacitors is poor causing them to decay chemically until they can no longer do their job.
You might contact the LG authorized service company in your area and ask if they have a repair or exchange program.

i'm having exactly same problem. Not only I also other people have same issue. I dropped this heavy TV to the certified LG repair centre and the esimation cost for repair is $500.00 CDN. We decided to pick it up without the repair even we paid $100.00 just for the inspection.

My TV was working but no power at all now.
The repair centre says it's defact part so they are not responsible.
LG should recall this model.

A click means the power to the LCD has been shut off. Try resetting the TV, pull the AC plug, wait a minute then replug.

i think your bulb is shot must be replaced
