make sure the beater shaft is clean. is the dough hook new or old if its new you can deburr inside of dough hook to ease in install and removal of attch. please let me know so i can futher asist
You can but the dough would ride down towards the bowl instead of up and your mix would not turn out properly. What kind of mixer do you have?i'm a hobart tech and repair these mixers often.Let me know.
There is a website called onesharpstore.com, It carries parts for the hobart 30 quart mixer. I specifically saw the bowl and hook attachments as well as others like beaters and a cheese and vegetable grater. Hope this helps. And if you sign up I think you can even request a full catalog for your machine.
The bowl holds 20 quarts--are you overloading the mix? This mixer is not made for medium/heavy pizza dough.Depending on the pounds of dough, water and other ingredients will affect the mixer in some way.
Does the mixer work in any other speeds? Are you mixing pizza dough and in what speed?I service these mixers alot--i work for hobart. It sounds to me like you have a sheared key on one of the shafts. The mixer doesnt have a clutch.
