Use a normal cable to connect to you tv and check the resolution that the hdmi is trying to output. if it wont display with the normal one then you will have to reset the video output system.

Bought sony bravia 32nx500 And i tried many hdmi. But whenever i connect my chromecast on any hdmi port it says "unsupported signal. Check your device output." Tried everything but still strugling..

Hi Tejinder,

There is a lot of variation in the HDMI cables available in the market. I also faced the same problem with an LG LCD and a Sony play station. I had an HDMI cord which I got with the HDMI converter fro the US, solved the problem. The other cords are working fine with the HDMI converter. I hope it helps.

Good Luck.

I own a Sony kdf-55e2000 , when I try to hook up a ps3 through the hdmi imputs i get a message reading "unsupported signal please check device output" i can here the sound but no picture. Is there any

try only having the hdmi cable hooked up to ps3 and tv, turn off ps3 and hold power button for 5 or 10 seconds and you should hear 3 beeps, this should reset the ps3 and detect the settings, if this doesnt work you mmay have to manually change audio and video settings in the ps3 settings menu to hdmi output and auto detect which settings work.

Message of Unsupported video signal after attaching laptop to TV.

it sounds like the resolution the laptop is trying to send is not one of the resolutions that the television can display. TVs can display a range of resolutions, so try changing the laptop resolution, either increasing it (make the pixels smaller) or lower the resolution, try a variety of resolutions, one should work.

Sony bravia klv-32t400a hdmi input through x-box and p.c gives error reading - unsupported signal! check device output. both are on 1080p using hdmi to hdmi cable v1.3 why no vidio, only audio

The problem is that, according to the specs for that TV, it doesn't support 1080p.
That's a 720p television you've got. (Specs here)
While the specs say that it supports 1080p, the resolution says it supports 1366 x 768, which is only 720p, not 1080p or even 1080i.
You may want to contact Sony for clarification, because their specs for that tv are contradicting each other.
