Please Help! I have a water inlet fault on my W640 from the year 2000. We just bought it used, and it worked for a month or so. The water is coming in the supply hose just fine. When we start the program, the water comes in (you can hear it) for a few seconds, then stops abruptly, and then nothing. And five min. later, it indicates the fault. I just replaced the water inlet valve, and it still is doing the same thing. Help!

In reply to rayser's problem. (I know this is a bit late, but I'm sure there will be other people who will experience the same prob in future) I have just had the exact same problem with my ASKO W600. After having the service-man come take a look, he said I needed 2 new 'motor brushes'. If the machine just fills then drains with no rotation, & you've done the normal maintenance checks, then this is more than likely the reason.
Wash motor fault
See if there is a blockage in the level switch. the switch operates on air pressure within the dip tube and the diaphragm in the switch. there may be a spider's nest in the tube or a wasp's nest in the tube.

THANKS- I appreciate your time. Could you explain to me where the level switch and dip tube are located? I will explore, but do not have enough knowledge to make use of your comment.
Ok, I found the level switch, took it apart, and there was no blockage in the switch, and the tubes seem to be fine. In taking it apart, I backed off on the three screws on the back thinking that would help with the disassembly (the two torx and the small slotted). Did I mess up the adjustment - probably. How do I know the tightness these screws should be adjusted to?
I have an asko w600 with same type of fault. Machine fills with water but does not rotate. After 2minutes the machine drains the water and the timer turns to the "s " position. I have check level switch and hoses. Could someone please help.
