Fault indication: water inlet fault

Please Help! I have a water inlet fault on my W640 from the year 2000. We just bought it used, and it worked for a month or so. The water is coming in the supply hose just fine. When we start the program, the water comes in (you can hear it) for a few seconds, then stops abruptly, and then nothing. And five min. later, it indicates the fault. I just replaced the water inlet valve, and it still is doing the same thing. Help!

THANKS- I appreciate your time. Could you explain to me where the level switch and dip tube are located? I will explore, but do not have enough knowledge to make use of your comment.

Ok, I found the level switch, took it apart, and there was no blockage in the switch, and the tubes seem to be fine. In taking it apart, I backed off on the three screws on the back thinking that would help with the disassembly (the two torx and the small slotted). Did I mess up the adjustment - probably. How do I know the tightness these screws should be adjusted to?

I have an asko w600 with same type of fault. Machine fills with water but does not rotate. After 2minutes the machine drains the water and the timer turns to the "s " position. I have check level switch and hoses. Could someone please help.

In reply to rayser's problem. (I know this is a bit late, but I'm sure there will be other people who will experience the same prob in future) I have just had the exact same problem with my ASKO W600.  After having the service-man come take a look, he said I needed 2 new 'motor brushes'.  If the machine just fills then drains with no rotation, & you've done the normal maintenance checks, then this is more than likely the reason.

See if there is a blockage in the level switch. the switch operates on air pressure within the dip tube and the diaphragm in the switch. there may be a spider's nest in the tube or a wasp's nest in the tube.

Letter F appears on screen, and dishwasher does not start. Sounds like pump runs for a bit then stops. Door is closed. What is wrong?.

Hi

Error code F indicates that dishwasher control has detected a fault with dishwasher filling. This is due to faulty water inlet valve. Please check for clogged water inlet valve. Water inlet valve part#35

You can buy it from this link---

Bosch SHU531 water inlet valve

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information

It shows an F 20 fault after it goes to the wash cycle. I have taken the hoses offf and cleaned the screens. It is getting plenty of water throught the fill valve but still stops with an F 20 fault.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F20 indicates no water is entering in machine and/or the pressure switch trip was not detected. To resolve this issue check the water supply has been turned on, then check the water inlet valve for any clogs and clean it. If there is water in the unit then check the drain pump and also verify that the pressure switch is working fine. If the water inlet valve has gone bad then it should be replaced. Also check the wire harness connections to the water inlet valve and pressure switch. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Dishwasher adp 4601 when switched on the pump activates.and after 2 mins start lamp bliks and pump goes off

The number of flashes indicates the fault. Reset machine by holding down the start button for 3 secs, then start a new cycle. If fault reoccurs, the number of flashes indicates fault eg 3 flashes, stop, 3 flashes stop, indicates F3 fault.
Faults listed below- advice on repair depends on which fault your machine is indicating, but may give you an idea of what to look for
1flash=NTC (temperature sensor) break- NTC outside normal range.
2flash=water leakage-float switch in base activated.
3flash=heating fault(check element.NTC,control board).
4flash=drain error-blockage in pump or drain system,or faulty water indicator switch.
6flash=water inlet fault-check inlet valve, check inlet hose not kinked
7flash=flow meter failure (flow meter measures water intake volume-large plastic weir located on left hand side of machine-reomve side panel to access)
These a most common faults, but further advice on repair requires counting flashes when fault occurs.

Asko w640 has a water inlet fault

Check the drain line to make sure the water does not siphon out as it enters the machine.

Asko W640 water outlet fault

If you get the water fault after checking the lower drain, you may need to remove the drain hose in the back. Usually there is a dime in the hose or the hard part right before the hose.

W640 - Water Outlet Fault

I solved this problem this morning, after several months with intermittent "water outlet fault" error messages.

Our pin trap was cleared many times over the months. The propellor turned freely. However, the problem persisted.
So I unplugged the machine, removed the back panel (8 or so hex screws) and located the point where the drainage hose meets the water draining pump. I then separated the hose from the pump and found 2 United States 10-cent pieces lodged together with gunk that effectively blocked the drainage hose. 10-cent pieces ("dimes") are the perfect diameter to get stuck there and not appear in the pin trap where you could easily see and remove them.

Three loads later, the machine is working according to spec. Hope this helps.

Asko W600 spin cycle not working

Check the brushes oin the motor. It's the most normal fault when this problem appears. Not a big thing to fix for a technician!

Wash motor fault

We got the same problem 2 weeks ago. Overode it by swiching everything off and then back on, wish we hadn't as te machine stopped washing 1 week later. Motor has gone $300 and it took the electronic controler out as well $300. Labour $100 plus call out $95. It'sa serious falut and should get it fixed which begs the question why have fault indicator ro this problem if you cna overide it. In addition you probbaly have a minor water leak from above the motor, which can be fixed with silicone. Asko saya it's machine lasts 20 years, think again as for a $1900 machine very disappointed.
