As far as I know there is no password on that modum only on the wireless network that you set up. If you connect to the modum via ethernet cable..You should be able to access and make changes to anything you need to. If not, there should be a reset button on it. You may have to use a pin or paper clip to press it.
I have dlink 2100ap wireless router any body had access my wireless network but i want to ristrect network just like network passkey how can i give my dlink 2100ap wireless router pass key please give me reply
Double check your physical connection. It should be this way
Modem > connected to Internet Port of the router PC > connected to port 1 Laptop > can be wireless
Now you must power cycle your router and modem. Turn off router first then modem. Wait for 30 seconds. Power on modem first, then the router. You must configure the wireless settings on your laptop it doesn't connect automatically.
make sure the dsl modem is in bridge mode. you do this by connecting directly to the modem then accessing modem configuration page. after doing this connect the way everything was before. now go to router admin page, then setup tab at the top, then choose internet, manual setup. in the place where its says my internet connection is select PPPoE. then put in your dsl username, password and etc. save settings. this should fix the problem
To access your router you should goto http://192.168.0.1 - It should explain in the manual.
You may have to set the router in Cable Modem mode as it may be in DSL mode now.
I hope this may help.
ALSO! There should be a little hole in the back that you can put the tip of a pen into to press a button and it will reset the router back to factor defaults. Default settings would be cable modem mode. Be sure to have the router powered on and press the button down for 10 secs and notice the lights on the router should flash. After that power down the router, by unplugging the power and the plug it back in. It should be set back to factory defaults.
