I have a ripspeed DVD 720 when I wired it in the power button just flashed red for a bit and that's it it won't turn on or do anything?

Sounds like the power supply in the dvd player has failed. It works just well enough to turn on the led infront but as soon as you go to do anything it shuts off. This is common in cheaper dvd players. Unless you can troubleshoot electronics. Or know someone that can. Your best bet is to unplug the unit and disassemly and retrieve your dvd.

When i try to open my disk tray it says locked

I had same problem with JVC player. Found out from manual that there is child lock- activated by pressing stop + eject when unit in stand-by mode. (which I must have done accidentally) Unlocked by repeating action - in stand by mode.

Holding the Reset button for 60 seconds didnt help!!!!!!

Unlike the suggested solution to reset to factory settings by pressing the stop button on the DVD player itself with the tray OPEN, in my case I succeeded only with the tray CLOSED (no DVD inside). The light flashed to red e back to green and it was done.

Cant play anything on it

I had the same problem, After googling for a few minutes I found the reset procedure for this player.

1. Turn it on.
2. Eject any disk you have in there and close the tray.
3. Hold down the "STOP" button on the player (not remote) until the green light flashes red and the system reboots.
4. Insert disk and enjoy.

This worked for me... mileage may vary.

DVD tray won't open

Hi kjflynn06 let your DVD player stand for about 2 days then you plug it in back if that does not work call a tech could be a faulty power supply good luck.
