My xbox says the disk is dirty even when i clean it.

1)Take disk out of Xbox
2)Try turning off Xbox
3)Choose one of the methods to try and fix disk Polishing disk

-Use air first (blow across disk, or use a soft brush to remove any specks from disk before polishing)
-Get a soft, lint-free polishing cloth (make it damp)
-Use wet side of cloth to clean shiny side of disk
-Dry whole disk (dry polishing cloth)
-Put it in Xbox Using soap or water

-Use soap or windex-slightly wet paper towel to wipe off disk from middle towards outside
-Use furniture cleaner Using toothpaste

-Rub toothpaste on disk, dampen a suitable soft cleaning cloth
-Rub from centre-then move all the way around to edge
-Wipe toothpaste off with a wet cloth-wipe any dampness with dry cloth
-Put it in Xbox Using car polish

-Get a dry cloth and add a small amount of polish to it
-Rub in a circle motion, then wipe dry
-Put it in Xbox Peanut butter

-Put a dab of peanut butter on a lint-free cloth
-Don't rub it in a circle motion
-Put it in Xbox Using rubbing Alcohol

-Pour out a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto a cotton bud
-Rub from centre of disk, moving outward to edge
-Wait for it to dry and try again Wax from candle

-Get some melted wax from a normal candle
-Gently pour wax on scratches-rub in with soft cloth
-Wipe off excess wax with a damp cloth
-Let disk dry for 5-10 mins and try again Vanish Oxipowder

-Cover entire shiny side of disk with powder
-Wait 5-10 mins
-Clean powder off completely with soft damp cloth
-Place disk in Xbox Other possible fixes

-Take disk to game/computer shop
-If any of your friends has game, borrow disk from them, install it to hard drive, and hope Xbox recognises it

Your disk is either Dirty or has a bad scratch on it. Clean the disk with windex and a soft non abrasive cloth. if this doesn,t solve the problem take it to a gaming store that will do disk repair

You should probally return the game.

I would recommend going back to the shop you got the game from and asking for a new copy, it seems more likely to be a disc problem than a console one, and just check that it is the correct format for your region.

If you take it your local Gamestation Shop they will clean it for £1.99

i had the same problem with my MW2 and it may be due to the copy of the game. when they made it, it might have been to thin. i returned it n got a new copy n it worked. also, it might be ur eye to read the game as well.

try cleaning the game disk (carefully try to use a microfiber cloth), scratches and finger prints can hinder game play.

check your disc for any scratches that may be deep or excessive finger marks. Try washing the disc with mild soap like Dove - cold water and and very soft cloth. Remember to be sure to wipe your disk from the inside straight out. Never wipe in a circular motion! that will embed any oils or dirt further into the disk and cause more damage. Sounds like the Xbox is trying to find a piece of data that it need to go further and because of a dirty or scratched disk, it can't find it. If you want to verify whether it's your disk or your Xbox, go to your local game rental store and rent a copy of the same game to see if you have the same problem.

If your xbox won't play any games it probably isn't a disk problem. More likely a hardware problem. Its very unlikely all of your disk are equally dirty or unreadable. You can also check a movie dvd since the xbox 360 will also play standard movie dvd disks.

If none of them work ....its not the disk its the xbox.

As far as cleaning them goes there are several "cleaners" available, that basically just wipe the disk surface, you can do the same thing with a lint soft cloth.
