Cannot find a power adapter for X2gen 19inch LCD monitor
At Computer stores they recommend laptop chargers which start at 14V
I need 12V - 4Amp
At radio shack 12V are 1.5A
So where can I find 12V - 4A (switching adapter) ?

You may buy any adapter with 12V, however, make sure the new one also matches at least the same Amp. of the monitor. Universal laptop adapters are ok to use.
No, it's way too low power. Most probably you need 12V and something like 4-5A (4000-5000mA). The higher the current rating (Amps) the better, some reserve is always good to have; the unit will draw as much current as it needs, the rating means the maximum current that the power supply can deliver.
Good luck, and please come back with a rating/testimonial if helped :)
You need to check on the monitor itself. Most of them will normally mention their ratings etc,,now 12v , 4 amps means 12*4 = 48 watts. So you can use a different adapter as long as it matches the power and voltage and it has the applicable connection.
It might be the power adapter. How long has this been going on? Have you emailed Newegg to see if they would replace it for you ? did you buy the extended warranty? It might also be your power cable. The worse case could be that something in the printed circuit board failed. I would say you have a few choices 1) computer store - have them check the monitor 2) Email NEWEGG and see if they will replace it 3) repair/replace the monitor
