Camera menu When I try to use my camera, the menu button doesn't work. So I can't even take photos! I am trying to empty the phone because I want to part ex it towards a newer model asap and there are some photos on there that *ahem* I want to keep ... ;-) HELP!!! I tried to transfer the photos from my V220 to my PC. I have the software and the USB cable - and when I plug my phone into my PC, my PC does recognise it - it even shows a picture! - but my phone doesn't like listing the photos on there :-( Oh, I'm using Motorola Phone Tools

"memory full" but SD cards are empty

Not sure if it will be this, but has the SD card got locked by accident? There is a little sliding button on the side of the card, which can be locked to protect the content. My camera shows the card as full if I accidentally lock the card. You can just slide it back again to unlock it. I never noticed the button was there until I accidentally knocked it while loading the card in and out of my PC to transfer the photos.

Can't view photos on camera screen

Hello Celia.

Try going to the menu and look for the "storage" setting. Check to see if it is set on memory card or internal. Switch the setting to see if you can access the photos.
If this doesn't work your 30 photos may be in a folder "type" your Canon cant access. Try moving them to a "Canon" folder that your camera created.

Hopr this helps. Dale

My camera doesn`t read memory card.I tried with 2

On most cameras, once you start to use the internal memory, the camera doesn't want to read a memory card. You need to go into the menu and "reset" the camera. Then, with no card in the camera, go into the menu and "format" the internal memory. Then, insert the card and "format" it. This will erase it so download any pics first.

Jpg files corrupt

After you've donloaded your pictures, have you tried formatting your card in the camera? Press the Menu button, then go to the settings (tools) menu. Go down to the Format option. Select "Low Level" format if available in your menu. Again make sure that you have downloaded your pictures first as this will also erase your card.

If the above doesn't work, have you tried using an SD card reader? If so, the next thing to try would be a different card reader. And finally, have you done a recent sweep for spyware on your computer. Spyware can cause temporary hangup/hiccups that could potentially corrupt your download.

No pictures??

This sounds like the same problem I had. I could not find a solution without losing the photos that I had already taken. Try reseting the camera. In the menu clear all the photos out of memory. If the picture counter doesn't reset you may need to physically kill power to the camera (by pulling out the batteries) this will delete any photos in memory and reset the photo counter. Once you are sure that the memory is empty. Try taking some test photos and reconecting to the computer to see if the software sees the new photos. You may want to delete and reload the camera drivers before you connecting the camera.
