Hi i need to download drivers so my laptop will go on the internet,, its under device manager , the following are have a yellow question mark, ethernet controller , mass storage controller , multimedia audio controller ,network controller , pci modem , video controller , video controller (vga compatible) i dont know how to fix the probablem

1. Go to Lenovo's Website
2. Select the drivers you need
3. Make sure the drivers you download is for WinXP

you need to install network adapter first before you can connect to internet
check it at device manager, is there any yellow mark?if yes insert you motherboard cd driver
then chose to install LAN card driver
the otherway is install from device manager. with cd driver inserted right click at yellow mark then chose update driver, follow the step untill process finish and the yellow mark at device manager disappear
try to connect to internet through your modem

Did you download all of the drivers and the windows updates? Connect directly to the net and download them.

If you were to log on to acer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers for spare part supplies and Driver downloads (if applicable) as required.

Just Google the manufacturer's name and follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they charge for the information that is normally free of charge.

To install a sound driver on your Laptop, you must have the CD that has this drive, or download the driver from the Laptop Manufacturer website for your OS.

Run the sound driver sutup.exe file and follow the isntruction on the screen.

If you are an advance PC user, you can use the following Method.
Right Click my computer, Manage, Device Manager.
On the right pane of the you will see the sound card marked with Yellow Question Mark, or a Yellow Triangle with exclamation Mark depending on the version of OS you are running.
Right Click the Yellow question marked Icon, update driver, choose the location of the driver on the CD or the location you stored it on your local drive.
Follow the instruction and complete the installation.

Basically if we can see the yellow question mark in device manager it means the driver of that hardware are not installed. To fix that problem you need to install the driver. The driver of that are the same to the motherboard driver. I know that you have a driver of that motherboard because you are the owner. Load the motherboard CD driver in you laptop and install follow the instruction there. If your CD driver is lost you can download it in internet. Visit the site of your laptop brand its better that you will know what is the model of you laptop for easy to search.

go here... select the model etc and the network driver should be one of the drivers available... download it and install and that should fix it up.

Hi,

You may try checking the network driver of your computer.

1. click start --- right click "My computer / Computer".

2. click Manager then look for device manager.

3. under device manager on the left column. Look for your network adapter if it has a yellow question mark or a red x mark.

Red X - disabled.(right click then select enable)
yellow mark - driver is not installed/corrutped (you need to install the driver online or from the cd that came with the computer)

4. Restart

Now, if the issue still the same. Try a different computer and check if you can connect to the internet. If the issue still the same. Call you Internet service provider to check on the connection.
