Hi, Sometimes iPhone hangs up at dialer screen with Process ring working in center. There is no need to wait and drain the battery. u can simply press Home key and power key at same time and keep it pressed for 5 sec. Your iPhone will switch off. Now press power key to start the iPhone and u will get rid of ur problem.. Thanks and enjoy using iPhone....

if phone hanged, and restarting is not helping, you have to restore it...(push off and tap butons together, keep for long, while Itunes logo will apear), then restore it via Itunes.
then download program Zip iphone, and it will brakejail it. everything will be working superb, only you will loose all your info, such as calendar, adress book, and so on.
if you want to back up all this stuff, just use iphone brooser, there you can copy/add any file from/to Iphone. Also via iphone brooser you can add any ringtone you want to your phone.

When my phone is charging its fine but when I take it off the charger then in about a min the apple icon will start flashing and it will not do anything else.

Even i ws facing d same issue with my iphone...
Tried all d above steps ... eg : holdin d power button & d home key for 8 secs ... but ws still stuck with d apple logo...
So just keep it off for a while .....
Then start it by holding d power key which is on d top right of d phone & leave it for a while.it ll reboot on it's own in d safe mode.
it showed me "springboard" error. & even asked me for a reboot on it's own.
So just hit reboot & Viola .....
Same as b4 ...... workin fine ...

Let the battery run out. It happen to me... it hang on dial screen and the loading icon appear and it froze. After the battery run out, charge it back and it back to normal.

I have the same problem faced by vivianng89, whereby my iphone is always showing the apple logo for a long time. No blinking whatsoever. It stays that way until the battery runs very low, then it switches off.
I tried pressing the on/off button + home button together for 5 seconds as suggested (more than 30 tries i think by now) but it wont budge.
FYI, my iphone is still using version 1.1.1.
Any ways to "un-hang" my iphone?
