I discovered tiny ball bearings in my hot tub. Where could they come from? The hot tub is working fine.

The ball bearings from your spa are from a roto head jet. Typically they are from one of the larger sized jets and they make the swivel action in the roto swirl jets function smoothly. You can determine which jet is coming apart by the loose function of the center nozzle. The jet can be removed and replaced to solve this problem. Most jets screw out but when they have deteriorated a lot, you may need plyers to take the jet out in pieces.

Whoa...
shotgun?
Lets hope it is the more common problem of deteriorating "Rotating" style of jets. They use ball bearings to assist the rapid spinning action when high speed jets are on.
Identify which jets are bad and replace.
Unfortunately, if one started to detiorate, then all of the rotating type of jets, will follow.

Can 40w oil be used in the 2000 accent

Well, yes and no, It would depend on the outside temperature, If you live in the desert, it would be perfect. But if you live up north, not so perfect. It would never crank over on a cold morning. Oil is like little tiny ball bearings, the heavier the oil, the bigger the ball bearings, Multi viscosity covers 2 weights, when it is cold in the morning it is thin, 10 w, when it heats up after running, it gets thick, 40w. 10w40 would be a good weight for a small engine, heavy enough when hot, thin enough when cold. Some people use straight 30 weight year round, but it is hot down here in Florida, I use 10w40 in all my cars and trucks. Hope this helps.

How to Replace Bearing Ball on a LG Front Load Washer??? The bearing ball is leaking water and makes loud noise. need to fix problem please help.

The rear half of the outer wash drum (which contains the rear bearing and tub shaft seal) needs to be replaced. On a 1 - 10 scale, this rates a difficulty rating of about an 8. An experienced appliance tech can do it in about 2 hours, and hit you up for about $500. I do not suggest this as a do it yourself repair. Did you know that the new LG machines use a balance ring to make them much smoother running? (Hint: It may be wiser to replace the machine.)

When the machine goes into the spin cycle the tub barely rotates a hot burning smell slowly appears and when I turn the machine over and inspect it the clutch is extremely hot. Motor and gearcase are cool...

This could be something trapped between the inner and outer tub or even your bearings have collapsed.Get a torch and look inside the drum through the tiny holesnto see if you can see anything if there is something.you will have to remove the tub to pump hose to get at it

I have the ball bearings showing up in my lounger in my spa and now realize that it is probably from a spinner jet after reading several postings. I just filled the tub and put in all new chemicals. Does...

Well.. Ummm... Yes. really to be safe & responsible & to prevent any more damage. Just having it hot & using for a little bit, may be OK, but no water jets etc. No Water Pumping jets etc.

Main bearing and shaft has gone, is it worth replacing

in todays market it is not cost effective to have this one worked on
but have you or someone else checked the space between the inner tub and outer tub. i have seen a towel get balled up in between these tubs before and some one asumed it was the tub bearing because the tub would not turn.

i hope this helps with your decision on what to do

Maytag EpicZ Washing machine; basket drive pulley noise & wobbly

sounds like a bad bearing...here is how I check them open the door .lift up on the tub if any play in the upwared monment it's bad...you can also remove belt and pulley spin the tub if you still hear the noise it's bad....
if bad you will have to replace rear outer tub and spinner (it has the shaft on it)
also Give Maytag a call at customer relatiions...make a lot of noise they may just give you the repair..
