Thanks for the tip about turn off voice mail. My problem is I have general operating instructions for Samsung F480i, but there is no mention about call divert features and what buttons to press to change features. I currently have a default setting of divert phone to voice mail after 6 rings. So I really need to alter my diversion feature, but my general instructions don't state what buttons I need to press to alter this feature ? Can you please help ?Thanks for the tip about turn off voice mail.

Hi firefrozen, I found the solution. go to settings, then not network settings, go to application settings, select calls, select voice calls, select call diverting, select cancel all diverts. This enables phone to ring out longer. ThanksHi firefrozen,

What type of phone is this? Most home phones have a setting in them to adjust the number of rings. Retrieving voice mails requires the voice mail be set up first. To assist you further, please provide more details.
When it stops ringing, the caller goes to your voice mail, right?
If so, then you need to contact your phone company and have them change your "Ring Cycle" -- that's the number of rings before the voice mail system picks up.
Some phone companies have a way for you to do this yourself from their website, other require that you call up the customer service line. Either way, the thing you want to adjust is your voice mail ring cycle.
