Insignia™ 37 720p Flat Panel LCD HDTV will not turn on the green light comes on but then the screen flashes please wait and then nothing happens after a few seconds the green light will flash off and then on again and the cycle starts over. please help

Hello my phillips flat screen wont turn on,any free repairs if its been under 2years
well, there could be different problems. I just repair one insignia that would turn on but no image or sound. I replace the main board to solve it. now if your tv is totally dead, meaning no power light, then your power supply is the problem.

Turn on TV insignia 26 inch DVD combo. Screen is blank with colored lines. Leaving it switched on it will eventually come on after approx 5 mins. Sound comes through after switching it on.
Your TV will likely require repairs for this issue to be resolved. Service can be obtained by carrying the unit in to the place of purchase.

Green screen using HDMI input
Try using the RGB component input and see what happens. If it's normal, then you might have a software issue in the set. You'll get the same quality out of RGB as you would HDMI.

I switched the power cord with the one to my desktop monitor and it worked ..i noticed the end going into the TV had some discolor to it ..I put the one from the TV into my desktop monitor ..and that worked too..must of been a shortage of power from the cord to the TV?

My Insignia 32" hdtv shut off suddenly while we were watching tv,and now we can't turn it on. The green power light flashes on and off constantly. My big question is, is this fixable, and if so, how much...
Is it not still under warranty? T.V's always come with a standard warranty, I always opt for the extended version. Depending on how much you paid for the T.V in the first place which is going to be the cheapest? fix or replace? Most engineers offer a no fee call out.

TV was playing, then the screen turned black.
If the screen is black and you have sound then lightly press and shine a strong flashlight against the screen. If you see an image around the edge of the flashlight, an image is being 'displayed'. The problem is probably in the Inverter/CCFT or the power going to the Inverter.
