Some units also have a thermal fuse in line. Usually above the oven cavity. Look at your wiring schematic and see if it shows one, test for continuity and replace if bad. Also check to see if your main power comes in through your door interlock switches. Test each one for continuity with the door open and closed and replace if bad. If this is not it, you probably have a bad control board and it is usually not worth repairing. With Microwave Ovens we want to make sure your are careful. Even with the power off you can get shocked by the capacitor. Never work on a microwave oven with the power on. Very Dangerous Good Luck, Appliance Specialists.

I replaced clock panel turn power on nothing is there a code

If no display---you may have a bad fuse. It should be located behind the control panel. The fuse will look like the old auto glass fuses about 1/4 diameter and 1 1/4 inch long but made out of a ceramic material you can't see through. Color could be white--brown or a gray color. Amp size will be stamped on the end usually 15 or 20 amps.

Got swan sm2060R microwave. Plugged it in clock is set but no functions working

test the power outlet plug some lamp desk if work is o.k if NOT reset the c. breaker. follow this stepFirst check is the main fuse of the unit. On countertop units, you will need to take the shell off. The fuse will be close to where the cord comes through into the unit. OTR units, this main fuse is usually behind the control panel or possibly behind the vent. Usually the fuse is obvious if blown, otherwise test with an OHM meter, if open, replace fuse.
Some brands will also have a thermal cut-off fuse in the incoming voltage line to the control board. Older Maytags and Samsungs have this fuse in it. This thermostat looking fuse is usually above the oven cavity somewhere under the outside shell. Sometimes you can get to it through the vent of OTR models. Test with an OHM meter, replace if open.
God bless you

GE JVM1540sn1ss Microwave loses all power including interior light, control panel, etc. I have to set the clock each time. I can wiggle door or control panel and power comes back on. I appears there...

It may be a loose fuse holder or a rare condition, an intermittent fuse.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, & testing.

MICROWAVE IS DEAD. IT CAME ON FOR 3 SECONDS AND THEN WENT DEAD. NO LIGHTS NO CLOCK NO NOTHING. IT IS BUILT IN OVER THE OVEN. IT WAS MANUFACTURED IN 1998.

sounds like you may have a blown fuse. . remove the 2 screws at the hop thats holding the ventillation grill. remove screw holding control panel. push control panel up slightly and lift out. . there should be another metal sheet covering the opening. remove and your fuse should be right behind that.

Kid put mom's curling iron in microwave. Turned it on and now nothing. No lights, nothing. Is there a fuse to check? Maybe it is too far gone? Thanks

there is very high voltage present even when disconnected from mains. unplug from mains & leave for 1 hour. remove cabinet. there is a fuse which controls everything usually located near the transformer or where the mains cable enters. check fuse and replace. it needs to be the correct fuse for the appliance
There should also be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

Once you remove the control panel assembly, the fuse is located in a holder behind that area toward the top. The tech sheet shows part locations

665.68601890 Acts as though it is not receiving power but breaker is not thrown. Is there an internal reset. Nothing responds - no lights, fan or microwave. Panel is black and non responsive

ther is on most microwaves a fuse inside usually located behind display panel located in a fuse block or will be on the control board itself.. normally a 20 amp fuse...try that first if not then make sure you have power to control and if so and no display most likely the display control board...
may luck out and be just the fuse though....good luck

Dead Microwave

Check your plug and change the fuse there also.

You might need to rechange the 20 amp 250v fuse behind the control panel again due to the recent spark.

If none of this works then i'm afraid a certified technician needs to check the power packs and boards

No display on microwave touchpad for ge Model JKP62G

The GE JKP62G Microwave / Oven combination has an internal fuse behind the control panel for the microwave. The oven will operate but the microwave will be totally dead (no light, no clock). Turn off the breaker for the oven at the fuse box (30 Amp double breaker). In order to replace the fuse you will have to open the door to the microwave, remove the two screws (Torx) from the front control panel (located on the left edge of the control panel), wiggle the panel to the left (there are two metal tabs that stick into the metal frame of the microwave on the right of the panel) and then tilt the panel down from the top. There is a metal bracket that holds the control panel to the microwave at the bottom (don't remove it). Look towards the top of the microwave inside the area behind the control panel and you will see a 15 Amp screw in fuse. Replace the fuse and that should fix your problem.
