Fujino Stabiscope S1240d/N

I have a pair of stabiscope d/n binoculars and want to use night vision . I am told some need exta eye pices that take the tubes and some are already fitted with tubes which you can switch to night vision but these are the later type then I dont see any additional switch However in the front there is an electrical connector 3 pin that has a rubber cover. Information is not very forthcoming up to now from dealers. Do you know what is required and what connects to the plug and what for.
Very best regds George

I don't know about the night vision bits but if it is the same as S-1240 then the 3-pin plug is a power input.

Here is the problem with Night Owl Optics, ATN, Bushnell, Zenith, Night Vision, and many others US companies that uses foriegn companies to manufacture there cheaper NV devises.

Your Night Owl Binocular has two: ccfl inverters, voltage multipliers, controler and image intensifier tubes. They are manufactured in Russia. 80-90% problems are the image intensifier tubes, they are not the best in the world and they can't take a lot abuse.

Call Night Owl Optics in El Paso, TX. and ask them what will it cost to repair you binoculars.

I have a pair of Plastimo military binoculars which have been fine up to now, but suddenly, despite being able to focus using the two eye piece controls, I cannot get anything other than a double image, no...

Hello - I never had Plastimo before but I have had a similar problem with double vision on a very similar looking pair of binoculars.
The eye piece movement just re-aligns eye focus differences , a double image usually means one of the lenses has moved inside the main tube. (usually from a knock/fall etc)
Can you rotate either one of the tubes ? On my pair I had to rotate anti-clockwide and found a prism inside that had slipped after a fall -

Hi the ir is not working on my bushnell 26-0400,is there any way you can help (repair ?)

I had the same model, same problem. Bushnell replaced mine under warranty, If they needed to send it for repair it had to go to Russia. I guess it was cheaper to give me a new one. If its not under warranty Bushnell will send it off for you but it will cost quite a bit. My new pair lasted about 2 years with a lot of usage. Gen 1 night vision tubes do not have a very long life span. You may be better served buying a new pair of night vision binos.

Tasco nv 356 night binoculars

Check the HV to the tube and see if you can see any discolouration or spots on the tube - they often indicate tube failure. Many binoculars use the one power supply for both tubes as the current demand is very low. Often, one tube operation indicates tube failure, but a wire or connection could be at fault.

Stableizer not working

Baker Marine in CA will fix your Stabiscope. They told me $1500 minimum for the same problem. They are the only ones in the Western World that fix these things, truly. I know of a guy in Denmark who was told to send his to Baker. They have no competition nor any canscience!!
