I just bought a RCA home theater system and attempted to hook it up to my symphonic TV (WF2703). I originally had the TV linked to a Symphonic DVD/VCR player through my DTV box and it worked fine. I couldn't duplicate the same connection orientation with the new RCA as the RCA did not have antena in and out port. I tried to completly by-pass the DTV box and get it to simply play DVD with the new system but I do not seem to get any video signal on the TV. I can run the audio out ports on DTV box to Audio in ports on RCA and I get the sound to work just fine but attaching the yellow video cable does nothing. I reathached my symphonic DVD and it workd just fine. I seems as if the RCA video will not talk to the symphonic TV. Please can somebody help me?

Here's a link to the Symphonic website page where you download User Manuals. It asks for your Model Number, so be sure to have it when you go to their site.
http://insigniaproducts.com/cms/documents/NS-DXA1-APT%20UM%20EN.pdf Here are the Symphonic TV codes. These are for a universal remote OK SYMPHONIC
520 904 906 Hope this helps. As for the insignia, if you can not click the link copy and paste. What you need is on page 18, instruction on how to program your converter. Download if you lost it and print if needed. You will need Acrobat to view this. Good luck
If the manufacturer of the universal remote cannot give you codes for the Symphonic you are out of luck. U will either have to get an original replacement or get a Harmony universal remote.
Do you have "standby" power? In other words, does the set click or buzz when you try to power up using either the remote or the front panel?...accordianman
