TV trys to come on but won't and standby light blinks in random amounts.

KV32hs500 tv won't turn on. Standby light blinks 7 times, stops and then 7 more times, etc.. The tv will usually come on after about 2 hours or so of being off. Plays fine when on but once it gets turned off the problem happens again. Any suggestions? T.V. is 5 years old.
I have a similar problem . mine blinks 6 times or 7 sometimes also,and comes on with sound ,no picture for about 2 seconds then shuts off. Anything?
There's a particular kind of chip Shindengen MCZ3001D , which fails. Its on many kv32 and kv36 wega sony TVs. There are 2 soldered on a "D-board" and another on the "A-board." Service people say its impossible to tell which one has gone without replacing. $400 service charge. The entire D-board is often replaced- $100 part. A hobbyist can replace chips, better to do it with a $10-20 MCZ3001DB or the Hitachi equivilent.
An earlier poster mentioned that the seller claimed there was "something about the tubes in it". Since no TV has used vacuum tubes in decades, I find this hard to believe.

I have a 2005 FD Trinitron WEGA KV-32HS420 and while watching TV it suddenly made some strange noises internally then shut down. I have it connected to a cable digital box and it appeared as it was hit with some type of power loss, then when blank? Now when I try to power up the TV directly to cable I still get a power up sound, a few pops then is shuts down?
Very weird for a TV this young?

Standby light blinks but tv will not turn on nor will picture come on.
My problem is the same as the others in this post. Sony KV32HS420. Watching TV, hear a "snap" and picture goes blank (sound remains). Try turning the set off and back on. Now you can hear it for a few seconds and then it shuts down. No picture.
I guess I'm not sure how this site works. I see a post labelled "Best Solution", only there's no solution there.
This set is not even three years old. Thanks for any help.
