Do you have Norton Security? It could be blocking it.
Uninstall Norton and try AVG antivirus. Norton is a horrible program, I've had bad experiences.
Or disable any antivirus or firewall you have and try running iTunes.
Or try this.
1. Go to Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs --> iTunes --> Remove ...uninstall the program completely and restart your computer 2. Go to Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs --> QuickTime --> Remove ...uninstall the program completely and restart your computer 3. Go to My Computer --> Local Disc --> Program Files. Once in Program Files you will see the iTunes and QuickTime folder and you will want to delete the iTunes folder and the QuickTime folder. Right click on the iTunes folder and select delete and confirm the deletion. Do the same for QuickTime. 4. Restart your computer 5. Disable all features of any anti-virus program such as Norton or McAfee 6. Open Internet Explorer or which ever internet program you use and go tohttp://www.apple.com/itunes/download/and download the iTunes+QuickTime program. *Do not do any modifications in the download of the program.* Just download the program by doing the usual "Next" clicking. 7. Once iTunes is finished downloading, double click on the Shortcut Icon on the desktop. iTunes should open with a large square box and you have to click "Agree." Should be good to go.
try to uninstall all apple software from your computer
e.g. iTunes, Quicktime, bonjour etc. delete temp files click start > run > cmd > type "%temp%" without the double quotes then select all files then delete all of them
restart the computer
try to download and install Itunes if still doesnt work
download CCleaner to remove all traces of apple/itunes from your computer then restart and reinstall after restart.
While your itouch is connected to your computer, and itunes is open, press and hold the sleep/off button (the one on the top of the itouch) until the slider comes up on the screen. Slide the slider to turn off the itouch. Now, press and hold the home button (the one right below the screen) and at the same time, press the off/sleep button again. Hold both until you see your itunes page bring up a "restore" feature. Unfortunately, when restoring, you will lose all data (songs, etc..) Hopefully, you have this data in itunes and can easily download it back onto your itouch. This is the only thing that works. Sucks that you lose everything, but at least your itouch will once again work....
if your father deleted your song library then you will have to download your music again. same with your apps if your restore all that will do is load a new copy of your ipod software in the ipod. it won't help with getting your songs back it will help with removing the password lock.
vista is a hassle in all my experiences, have you tried completely uninstalling itunes and reinstalling your brower is it only the browser that cannot connect to the internet or is it other programs too? you could try using a system restore point
Uninstall Quicktime
I've
tried following the steps here, but I can't seem to uninstall my
version of Quicktime. I have a quicktime folder in my program files,
but it doesn't appear in my "add/delete programs" screen accessed
through the control panel. I also can't simply delete the entire
quicktime file as one of the files gives me the "access denied" error
and won't let me delete it.
So how do I get rid of this Quicktime program so I can try reinstalling itunes?
OR TRY THIS You can download the stand alone Quicktime Player installer at:
Okay well the only way you can resolve your problem is by taking your iPod to your local Apple store they should do a swap. Sounds like there is a firmware fault.
