The most simple home way to fix this type of problem without opening is using compressed air.

Most main computer/electronic shops sell cans of compressed air. shoot a can down your cooling air exhaust grills and it should remove all dust and have you happy for a few months.

A word of warning, do not do white while laptop is powered on, or just after you turn it off! this is because compressed air is VERY cold, and if your laptop is still hot, the rapid change in temperature will crack your motherboard, and cost you a pretty penny to replace. so give your laptop 30minutes to cool down before using a can of compressed air.

Also compressed air is VERY cheap to purchase and F.Y.I. most repair shops use it to fix overheating issues in computers and laptops. even game systems.

Hope this helps

this atleast lets you know its a heat issue. you may need to open the laptop to give it a clean inside.

also you might want to replace your thermal grease between the cpu and the copper heat block as compound may have gone dry and have gapped.

Everytime i turned ON my toshiba satellite a135-s2276 then it always turned off after 5seconds

You laptop could be overheating.
When the CPU overheats then it will shutdown (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down.If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes this problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan. If the fan and heat sink is clogged withdust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use acan of compressed air to do this.

The fan runs for 10 seconds then stops for 15 seconds and goes again, over and over. Is this normal? Toshiba Satellite A135-2276

NO This is not normal please clean the air ventilation of the laptop with blower or vacuum cleaner so that the air can circulate inside the laptop and it remains cool.

Toshiba Satellite A135-S2246 xp drivers

I have the same laptop and searched the web for XP drivers. From what I found, the ones you are looking for are these:

Atheros client - ta6wlanutilax.exe 10,380 kB.
Controls - sa1058tctrlx.exe 1,506 kB.
NIC - PCI_Install_5663_20070216 (folder) 17.7 MB.
Sound - audio 3-driver_audio_realtek_25234a.exe 24,949 kB.
Wireless - Atheros_5_0_0_107 (folder) 10.1 MB.

At least you have some file names to search for. When I found this info, I was thinking of switching to XP, as you are, but I increased the RAM to 2GB and Vista works fine for me now. Especially if you turn of User Access Control, which fixes Vista's annoying pop-ups problem. (Control Panel, Windows Security Center, Other Security Settings.)

Fan noise

Is the fan making an unusual noise or just sounding normal but on more then it used to be? If its just on more than it used to be then it will be because the cpu is running hotter than it used to. They are set run at diff speeds depnding on how much cooling is reqd. Is the laptop being used in a warmer place than normal/before?

It may be that the thermal paste between cpu and heatsink isnt performing as well as it used to and needs replacing.
