Sounds like the Tv your using is faulty. Its could have hardware failure. You did say it PS3 was working on hdmi on a plasma. If your using the default hdmi cable that came with ps3 that also can be faulty. I have always had problems with the default hdmi so i bought a new one that was not SONY and it works beautifully. Another thing the black screen with green is a video cable or graphics issue.
Does this tv work if there is no ps3 connected? if so i recommend using the standard PS3 Component AV Cable. see if that will let you reset your ps3.
This happens when you change the output settings to HD, then switch back to regular a/v because the tv dosen't recognize the signal. Thankfully there is an easy fix. Just turn the PS3 system on using the power button on the front and continue to hold it until you hear a second "beep" sound from the system. then picture should beging to work again.
Try going into menu input set up on tv and switch to av input. Just a thought I have the same model and had exact problem. All I had to do was change input style to av cable.
I have looked up the infomation on your TV I noticed that your TV has two HDMI input plugs. Since your SONY BRAVIA is hooked up to one port, you need to buy another HDMI cable for your PS3. On your tv remote you should have an option to switch from video 1 to video 2 so then you can switch from the SONY BRAVIA to the PS3 the problem is you will only hear your PS3 Sound from you TV. If you want to hear your PS3 sound from your SONY BRAVIA you need to buy an optical cable (also called TOSLINK) to connect from your PS3 to the SONY BRAVIA.
