I am not a repair professional. I am a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. So the machine ID doesn't mean much to me. I came to fixya looking for a schematic for an really old AM/FM radio and just happened to see that more than 4,700 people were asking for help with a washer repair. I recently had a washer repair of my own and at that time I found an excellent video on youtube which showed me how to take my machine apart. This video (direct drive washer repair) made it possible for me to do my own repair. You probably don't have any idea of the wonderful help you can get from youtube videos. Your first stop should be at youtube. Just search for the help you need. You could search for "clothes dryer repair" or "clothes washer repair" or "dishwasher repair". If you are not able to view and/or download the videos, or after you've seen all you want to see, I suggest you go directly to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good step by step trouble shooting and repair information on washers, dryers. and dishwashers as well as other appliances. Another excellent site is www.acmehowto.com If you have a direct drive top load washer and need help taking it apart these youtube videos are wonderful help. I was so impressed with them that when I saw all these people needing help, I wanted to tell them about the videos. If you look at the back of your top load washer and the panel is solid (no small inspection plate to remove, which would indicate you have a v-belt drive) chances are you have a direct drive and this video (direct drive washer repair) is just what you need. After you've seen all the appropiate videos, or if you have a belt drive washer, you will probably still need help in determining what the trouble is and how to fix it. I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good trouble shooting and repair nformation on most washers and dryers, dishwashers and many other household appliances. I think you'll find what you need there. Another excellent site for DIY help is www.acmehowto.com Don't worry about the timer on a washer, they hardly ever go bad. I realize I haven't solved your problem for you, but I hope I have sent you where you can get help to solve the problem. Good luck with it.

Washing machine is really loud when spinning (sounds like a plane taking off)and if you are sitting on couch one floor down you can feel the couch vibrate and the floor its on shakes like crazy. I was told...

no it is not normal and there so be no reasonable excuse for bad vibrations and shaking on a new machine ,if the setting up instructions and leveling procedures were carried out.
at six months it should be still under warranty so have it fixed under the warranty

GE Front Load washer shakes whenever any type of load is put in. GE service has been out at least 4 times and say that its fine..perfectly level, etc

All front loaders shake to some extent. It depends on the balance of the load. It is especially evident in the spin cycle due to the high speeds. Also these machines are best placed on a solid cement floor. They can shake an entire house if on the first or second floor and the floors are not well reinforced.

Washing machine making loud rattling noises and smells of burning rubber

Your washing machine has a belt on a pulley and that belt is being stretched. That belt is attached to a motor that turns your laundry tub. Your washer if out of balance will shake and rattle and the tub might be locked in place and the motor is forcing the belt to turn but the tub is not turning. If you are not mechanically inclined call a washer service repair man.

Makes loud rattling sound in spin cycleloud and

Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

Vibrating Front Loader

An experienced appliance technician can quickly check the balance of the machine. If the tub is off-balance or one of the balancing springs has been damaged then the technician should be able to resolve the problem without too much trouble.
Installing anti-vibration pads is also a good solution. Some pads are much better than others. Pads made of hard neoprene rubber are okay but try to find something made with a urethane rubber or multi-compound material. My appliance repair tech swears by Silent Feet pads from The Vibration Solution.

Rattling noise during spin cycle

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.

Kenmore two way tumble action washing machine - shakes, vibrates very loud

sounds like you have a broken stantion on the back of the basket.you can confirm this by opening the door and trying to pull up on the stainless steel basket.if it pushes up and flops back down, that is what you have.if the mach is over 2yrs old, look in your manual under warranty.if it has a 10yr on stainless steel basket and lifetime on tub,you will only have to pay for labor on repair.if it only has 1yr on entire mach, est would be higher than the price of a new one.
