My on/off switch does not work for my HP pavilion a250e desktop. I need to buy a replacement. Can you help?

Hp pavilion a 1330 fan runs but nothing else happens, I need to unplug the electrical cord from wall few times then it starts and works fine until I turn it off, then it happens again.. please help.

This could be a bad power supply, a bad power switch or failed RAM.

You can get any ethernet card for your HP but best is to go to HP's website and get it with your specs instead of just buying from them. You can buy a Linksys or 3Com so it all depends on where you are going to purchase the ethernet card. If you go to Best Buy they can help and they will actually show which card is best for your HP.

You can easily buy a new computer case. They are usually inexpensive. I have not seen any sites that sell the switch separately.

Try going on the HP website to find the part.

If it is built onto the motherboard you cant replace it. You can just buy a USB HUB if you need to be able to allow for more usb ports. Much easier and cheaper route to go

I have an HP Pavilion a6110n with the VGA port pulled out of the back. There is no damage to the board. I need to know where I can get this part to replace the damaged one. Any help would be appreciated.

where are you?why do i ask because i believe where you are there should be an IT firm or shop were they sale parts go there and buy svga card or adapter.

Looking for a replacement power/boot up switch for a hp pavilion a1730n

They are just an intermittent contact switch. Finding the two wires to the motherboard and replacing it with a different intermittent switch from someplace like Radio Shack.

You should open up the case and makesure it is still plugged in. If so look in the local phone book for a pc repair shop. They should keep items like that in stock. You can probably just buy one for maybe $10 and put it in yourself.

Mine also broke,so I decided to pull off the cover and do the repair myself. The on/off switch hadn't broke,it was the plastic button.It had become dislodged from it's housing, then became jammed. I was able to do the repair quickly and easily with a hot glue gun.I just put the guides back on the front cover and haven't had a problem since.I did speak to the family about being a little kinder to the button though.If it is the actual switch Radio Shack can hook you up with a new one.
