We recently moved to a house with a Bosch KGV28V01GB fridge freezer outside but it doesn't seem to be working. Its plugged in and the light comes on when the door is opened. The switch is set to ON but the compressor doesn't seem to be working. The fridge freezer is outside and its been below zero lately at night. I'm not sure its an outdoor model so perhaps that has affected performance though I assumed it should keep working. Its cold enough that we don't need to have the fridge running but we do need the freezer for our frozen foods.

Good day,
Refrigerators are designed for indoor use only. The lowest temperature they will perform normally is 55 degrees.
As the temperature drops below that it degades to the point of not working at all.
P.S. If you move it inside, give it a 24 hour warm up period. The oil in the compressor will be too thick, and can even ruin itself trying.

KGV28V01GB/21 light at half bright when door shut?

  1. Check the door switch: The door switch is responsible for turning the light on and off when you open and close the door. Disconnecting the switch, as you have already done, can confirm if the switch is working correctly or not. If it still remains at half brightness, the switch may need to be replaced.
  2. Check the light circuit: If the switch appears to be working correctly, there may be a problem with the light circuit. This could be a problem with the wiring or the bulb itself. You can try replacing the bulb to see if that resolves the issue.
  3. Contact Bosch Support: If the problem persists,

I have a Bosch Classixx KGV28V01GB fridge freezer. I defrosted it as there was a bog built up of ice in the freezer. I switched the fridge freezer back on today and have noticed that the fridge is not...

it will take at least 48 hours for a large fridge freezer to settle down after a complete defrost,so leave it alone with the door shut, set at you favourite temp....

Suspected broken fan prevents top fridge section cooling down

Very good diagnosis and conclusion. That price for the motor is about right. I think you will not have any truble with the ciculation after you install the motor.

Freezer in my kenmore refrigerator isn't cold

Make sure the freezer fan motor is running. The wires may have come off when it fell.
