My computer won't hotsync with my Palm T3. I have tried several cradles, and even the IR setting, but the T3 says a connection cannot be established with the computer. I have hotsynced before, but now it won't. I really just want the data off the T3. Is there anyway or anyone that can do this? Also, is it possible to transfer the data from the palm via computer to a ipod touch or iphone? Thanks, [email protected]

Can't sync my palm z22 to my computer

I had this problem recently and once I checked all of my settings, and adjusted a couple, it worked fine. To do that, on the desktop computer, open Palm Desktop and go to HotSync and then, under that is Setup. When the set up window opens, click on connections and be sure the type of connection you use is selected. In my case, I use the USB cable. Close that window. On the handheld, click on the hotsync image and be sure the connection method matches what you set up. Local or modem are your choices. My selection is local. Go to Preferences on the handheld and select Communication. Select connection and a window opens. From that list, I selected cradle/cable. Hopefully that will work for you. Try doing a hotsync at that point, and see if the problem is fixed. Mine was.

Garmin ique 3600 hot sync issues

I had the same problem. Obtained no help from Garmin - $200 to repair.

I purchased a $7.00 IRDA (infra red) - USB device; set my Connection to IR - PC and have been able to sync without any problems. However even withupdates I have not been able to get the cradle - PC connection to work. This is not a problem however since I now use the IR connection all the time.

You must touch the screen hot sync logo not the cradle button to start the sync process.

Synchronizing Tungsten T3 with desktop or laptop

I recently re-installed my T3 program

What do you mean?
  • Did you restore your T3 from a backup on the PC?
  • Did you install programs on the T3 using the PC's "quick install"?

Connection is lost (6410)

First open the HotSync custom menu, start changing conduits to do nothing. Work your way down the list until you end up with a complete HotSync. If you still have the 6410 error, unplug the USB adapter, replug and try your HotSync again. The USB adapter may be the week link in this equation.

Error message using IrComm port

Hi, Right click on hotsync manager at the bottom right corner of the pc , make sure only local serial and ir is having a check mark , if anything else has check mark , just go to that and do a left click , it will get unchecked . On the handheld tap on home , on the main page u will see hotsync icon , tap on that , on the hotsync page make sure via ir , and not cradle or cable , then at the top u will see hotsync in words , tap on that , in the drop down u will see lan sync pref, tap on that and make sure lan sync is highlighted , and not local hot sync , since local hotsync is usefull only when u perform cradle or cable hot sync using usb , then click on ok , try a hotsync . If this doesnt help and again u get the same error , do a soft reset on the handheld and on the pc , go into hotsync manager , click on setup , choose local , change the com port to a different port and reduce the speed to 9600 , click on ok restart the pc and again perform a hotsync . The error u got was coz of this , on ur pc a ir port is not been assigned .. Try this it should work .. Regards

Vx to Outlook 2002 failed - no connection Established

hi, on ur palm tap on home , u would see hotsync icon tap on that , on the hotsync page , u would see ur name on top or just welcome , make sure u see direct serial on the same page , tap on the top left corner where it says hotsync in words , in the drop down , tap on lan sync prefs , make sure local hotsync is darker in shade. on the pc make sure u see the hotsync manager at the bottom right corner , if not , click on start , click on all programs , choose palm desktop , inside that u would see hotsync manager , left double click on that , if it doesnt appear at the bottom right corner , try 4times , then if it still persists , restart the pc and try again. Once u see the hotsync manager at the bottom right corner , right click on that , left click on setup , left click on local , choose a different com port , reduce the speed to 9600 , click on ok restart ur pc and try hotsyncin , if it doesnt work try the previous step again and do not forget to restart ur pc , and then perform a hs , it will work .... Regards
