That problem comes up when one or both of the convergence IC's are burnt ... it normally has an "STK" number on it screwed onto some large aluminium heatsink ..... however if you venture to change it get back to me ... I'll try to guide you through ....

Generically, the 6 or 7 blinks usually indicate a problem with the horizontal circuit. In order to provide accurate diagnosis and suggested solutions, the exact model number is needed. Please update this with tha number and I will post more details.

TV will not come on.
The 7 blinks indicate a high voltage shutdown (high voltage exceeded 33,000V). This is usually caused by a defective regulator. Could you please post the exact model number (KVxxx) and I'll look up the part you will likely need?
