First enable bluetooth function under the menu options. (if not bluetooth menu button is seen you will need to tap the "show all menu buttons" button in the menu)
once bluetooth is enabled follow the prompts that the One XL gives you to connect device.
Please make sure your device is in discoverable mode (blinking blue and red) during the process.
Not all BlueTooth phones are compatible with the TomTom devices. Go to the TooTom webpage for phone compatibility. Enter your phone details and you will see if it is compatible with the GPS Model you have.
not a chance at all...very sorry...the bluetooth on your unit is only to be used for the TomTom Services..likeTraffic.....but here is another hint...it will ony wirk with compatible phones...and only from tmobile and at&t
Switch on your device.
Tap "Change Preferences" on screen.
Tap "Arrow right" on screen.
You are looking for "Bluetooth Preferences, mine is on screen7 of 8, then tap "Blue.Pref.".
Enable Bluetooth first then tap Connect to Bluetooth device. The device will look for other devices. Ensure your other device (phone) is also on and is Visable.
Choose the device you want to connect to. Only one device can connect at a time.
When you get a prompt for "PASSCODE" enter "0000" in to the field.
Set the new link as "Trusted" or add it to the "Whitelist" to persist the link.
Tomtom one xl's do not have bluetooth connections for audio. The bluetooth on a TT oneXL is for data transfer only (to update etc). Unless it has changed in the last 2 months....
