When you install the amplifier the power light is on, we plugged up the remote wire and the speaker wires to the terminals. The sub is getting no power at all. The amp is a Rockford Fosgate T10001 bd. Thank you.

For a test
disconnect everything from the remote terminal in the amplifier
get a bit of wire and connect the remote terminal to a 12 volt supply
does it turn on now?

if yes then check the remote wire from the radio does it become 12v when the radio is on and 0v when it is off

if no make sure that the amplifier has been grounded properly and all the power cables are connected properly

Are you connecting positive to positive and negative to negative from the sub to the amp? If so, try positive to positve (+) in the far left channel and then the negative to negative (-) on the far left channel to. If no luck do the same in the other channel with one sub at a time. Try one sub at a time, Dont try an connect 2 or more subs to one channel as this would cause the amp to go into protect mode (red light you describe). Usually the positive wire has either a line down the wire, writting on it or has a red seperate wire with it when wire end stripped to connect it. Hope this helps and please rate...

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Time to get an old school Opti Drive. .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you. lanzar-4000-watt-amplifier-hooked-up-2-shonxoarcym4awy4zl1imx4o-2-0.jpg Lanzar

Can kicker 1000x1 amp detect if my speaker is bad and turn itself off?

The Kicker 1000x1 Amplifier does not turn off if their is an Open Line (blown sub) on the Speaker Terminals.

  1. Remove all Speaker Wiring from the Amplifier, leaving the Power, Ground, Remote, and RCA wires plugged in.
  2. If the Amplifier fails to turn on, check your Remote wire for power.
  3. If the Remote wire is powering up with the Head Unit (should be anywhere from 5-12 Volts), check your Power wire for +12 Volts, and check your Ground wire.
  4. If you are getting +12 Volts Power and your Remote wire is putting out 5-12 Volts but your Amplifier still won't turn on, it will need to be serviced.

My kenwood amp wont turn on all the way i just hooked it up to my truck. the blue lights and the fan come on but the red light wont come on to power my subs

REMOVE THE RCA INPUTS AND DISCONNECT THE SPEAKERS, THEN POWER THE AMPLIFIER UP WITH THIS NO INPUT, NO SPEAKER LOAD CONDITION. IF IT STILL DOES NOT POWER UP, VERIFY THAT THE POSITIVE AND ESPECIALLY THE GROUND CONNECTIONS, ALONG WITH THE REMOTE CONNECTIONS ARE 100%, THEN TRY AGAIN. IF STILL NOT POWERED UP, MEASURE THE REMOTE WIRE VOLTAGE TO INSURE THAT IT IS NOT LOWER THAN 11 VOLTS. IF YOU CANNOT MEASURE IT, THEN DISCONNECT THE REMOTE LEAD FROM THE AMPLIFIER AND TEMPORARILY INSTALL A JUMPER WIRE FROM THE POSITIVE POWER TERMINAL TO THE AMPS REMOTE TERMINAL WHICH WILL FORCE IT TO TURN ON. IF IS STILL DOES NOT POWER UP, THEN IT WILL HAVE TO BE SERVICED. LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED FURTHER ASSISTANCE.....V

No sound protection light on.

Either blown subs, or bad amp.. Disconnect the subs, and try turning the amp on, if the amp is still in protect then your amp is bad, if the protect light goes off, then your subs are bad, or possibly wired at to low of an impedance, but I don't think that will trigger the protect on an Audiobahn amp.

Amp keeps blowin the two 30amp fuses on the amp.

Make sure that the speaker wires are wired correct at both the amp and the speakers......otherwise it sounds like the typical death of a power acoustik amp (great amps, but prone to a premature death)

INFINITY AMP PROTECTION LIGHT FLASHING

Overload maybe. If the amp is run at an improper impedence, the amp will shut down. If you are "CLIPPING" speakers / subwoofers the light will blink to indicate a hard clip . Example: 4ohm/2ohm stable amp with 4 ohm subs wired at 1 ohm.
