These machines have a common fault. If yours has no visible filter, the filter is in the rubber waste tube, just below the drum.
Most faults on these machines are due to a blockage or build up of sludge and lime scale in this area.
This also affects the pressure switch, which is linked by a plastic tube to the same place! This will cause the machine to stick, and not spin, otr to spin with water in the drum causing vibration.
Firstly check the outlet hose and the plumbing where the outlet goes to for signs of sludge and lime. Unless you have very soft water or a water softener, there will be some! Usually lots!
Clean this out.
Disconnect the machine from the mains and the water supply and pull it into a clear area.
Put a thick cloth on the floor and gently lay the machine on its left hand side, looking from the rear,
Undo the small panel on the back and you will see the black rubber concertina hose, pressure chamber and pump, which are now all easily accessible from the rear and the botom of the machine.
Undo the circlips with a screwdriver and the special plastic clips with a pair of pliers by twisting each part in the opposite direction.
Take the whole hose off. You find a filter and a "ping pong ball" inside this.
Clean it all out as thoroughly as you can. At the same time clean out the plastic pressure chamber and the pump. you might need to use a proprietary limescale remover or vinegar to do this.
You will usually find a few buttons, plastic items, paper, couins and a load of sludge!
Put the whole lot back, The plastic clips slide together with a toothed grip.
The whole job should take about half an hour and the machine will be like new.

Hotpoint Washing machine keeps flooding kitchen

For the age of it, you can either replace it or get it fixed. I would personally get a quote first for repair.

Hi : Problem with my Hotpoint WF640, Aquarious

Tools you will need:
2 Adjustable wrench's which opens up to 1"
Flat head screw driver
Philip screwdriver
Pliers

I need clarrification on which connection is leaking after the plumber replaced the new taps, but for now I will presume he replaced the isolator valves on the water lines to you washing machine.

To fix the leaky pipe open one wrench so that it fits snugly around the valve body (you may want to remove the little plastic handle of the valve) set teh other spanner on the nut which holds the pipe into the valve and rotate it in a clockwise direction to tighten, if the leak persists tunr of the water and check:
1. that there is an olive (little brass ring under the nut that the nut can tighten down onto.
2. PTFE tape or putty on the threads of the valve

As for the leak on your machine this leak could be coming from anywere, the usual suspects are:
Door seal
Drum outlet
Pump assembly
Detergent Drawer
Dissconnet the power and have a look for were you see the leak, look out for limescale, rust and other water/detergent marks to help you identify were the leak is comming from. Usually you can access the back of the machine and with a torch should see the pump assembly, you can remove the top of the machine usually 3 philips screws anlong the back side of top cover then it just lifts off.
Aternativly with some help you can lean the machine backwards so that you can look under it. ONLY attempt that if you have help and you can securely hold the machine in place. Lying it down flat might damage the machine if you dont do it slowly and very carfully, if you have the original shipping bolts that came with the machine I would advise installing them to help hold the drum in place.

Hope this helps.

Water leaking from soap drawer large amount floods kitchen floor intermitent

there is a blockge so the water comes out the way it went in when spinning,
check the filter at the bottom of your drum.
rear of machine, take panel off and look in to see black rubber attached to drum about 3" diameter. filter in there.it's a kind of basket with a ball float in it.
put back the way it came off as only fits 1 way.

Hotpoint WF640

the f-01 error code on your hotpoint all in 1 washer/dryer is a short circuit code for the motor. the only way to clear the code is to have a service tech come and inspect the reason for the error.
