Why wont my nokia 2 GB micro sd memory card read on the computer? IT worked fine in the phone. I don' t care about the phone just want the pics off the card.

Try usiong usb data cable connection. if that doesnt work, try checking ung mmc if it has a password on it, pc's specially windows xp, dont read security locked mmc on nokia phones

here is technical specification of the phone http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_3500_classic-2012.php it supports up to 2 GB SD cards. if your card is SDHC (high capacity, more than 2 GB) it wont work.
I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND KEPT ON MESSING WITH THE 4G MEMORY CARD AND FOUND OUT THAT I HAD TO FORMAT THE MEMORY CARD ON MY COMPUTER AND NOW IT READS THE CARD..ON THE SIDE OF THE SD ADAPTER HAS A SLIDING PIECE THAT SAVES YOU FROM DELETING THINGS ACCIDENTALLY BUT IF YOU SLIDE IT INTO THE MIDDLE POSITION THEN IT WILL ALLOW YOU TO FORMAT THE MEMORY CARD BUT YOU WILL LOSE WHATEVER THAT IS ON THE MEMORY CARD AND WILL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD IT ALL OVER AGAIN..I HOPE THIS IS CLEAR ENOUGH FOR EVERYBODY TO UNDERSTAND BUT THIS IS HOW I GOT MY MUSIC AND PICS ON THE MEMORY CARD
What size is the SD card in GBs? If it is larger than 2GB (4 or 8) do you have a SDHC card reader? Also try formating the card first in the phone and then using it. Using it straight out of the package, while able to be written, my have difficultly with other devices reading the data.
Open the card on your PC and copy all your files to a folder on your desktop. Then go to my computer, right click the memory card and format. When a little window appears just click start.
If your files are deleted then paste them from your desktop back onto your card. This should fix the problem.
You have to format your micro SD memory card with your phone first before you can download files to it. With the micro SD memory card in your phone. 1)go to menu 2) go to settings & tools 3)go to memory 4)select card memory 5)***SELECT OPTIONS*** ---this will ask you if you want to format your card select YES, if there is a phone password it would be your last 4 digits of your number.
Now eject the memory card from you phone. Now when you put the memory card to your computer you should see the sub menus...my pics..my videos...my music...my sounds. Now all you have to do is just click and drag your music and photos to these folders.
Then when you add the memory card to your phone it will see all the music, photos, etc...
