On my old router (i believe it was a netgear) my ps3 connected to the internet fine, i would be on call of duty most days playing against my friends and people across the world, but then my parents decided to purchase a new router, a belkin N+ router. ever since my ps3 has completely failed at connecting to the internet, and this has been an ongoing problem for 9 months now. sony tell me it is belkins fault, and belkin tells me it is sonys fault, and when belkin do give me advice, it invariably fails. the main issues are that when i scan for SSID on ps3, no access point is detected, even though my router is within a metre of the ps3. when i set it up manually, i always get the error code 8001000A. occasionally if i leave my ps3 for ages, i.e, a month, and come back to it, it will log into the internet for 5 minutes, then cut out once again. another error code that occasionally crops up is the 8013013D. after 9 months i am completely exasperated and parents refuse to get a different router, saying that online gaming isnt important for the console (shows how much they know!)
Cant you attach the old wireless router to one of the expansion slots in the new wireless router and have the old one for ps3 only and the new one for everything else

Test your router with something else, and see if your computer connects to the internet because your interneet might be down(easy fix contact me if thats the case).
Basically the PS3 wireless settings needs to be configures with the Netgear wireless router settings.
To test if the modem is connects to the Internet, connect a computer into the modem, if it works then the modem is configured correctly. If it doesn't work, then contact your ISP and get them to test your modem connection.
For details on how to configure the PS3 click on the WEB link :- wii.php">http://fixhomenetwork.com/xbox-play-station-wii.php
I might advised you to call the PS3 manufacturer to gather the ports of the PS3 then you'll needing the help of netgear provider to open the ports of the PS3 to the router, so that the PS3 will allow to the firewall of your router.
I understand that you want to connect the PS3 using the Wireless card and NETGEAR card. Please note that the setup you have will not work for internet access. You can not configure the Air card to work with NETGEAR router. you need to have wih a broadband connection available for this router to connect to internet.
Once you have the router configured with Internet access then you may either connect the PS3 wired or wireless to the router, like you connect a desktop or laptop to the router.
Hello..the quick answer is yes, this router allows wired and wireless connections at the same time, and it is easy to connect wirelessly (in theory...).
The PS3 will need to be configured to connect to your router, though. There is a guide to achieving this here:
If the wireless signal on the router has been secured, the settings used will be needed to set up the PS3.
If not, you may wish to secure the wireless connection, which is not too difficult - just a few steps, which I or someone else can help with if you wish.
Hope this helps, but please come back to Fixya if anything is not clear or you need further information.
This is what you have to do:
First, disconnected the router form the PS3.
Connect the router to the incoming cable and setup from the laptop using the setup wizard.
Once you have connected to the IPS then disconnect the router, connected the PS3, then the router.
You should be able to connect to the Internet.
