Dsc-w80 it's a gift from my brother in japan, the camera dsc-w80 is not translated in english..is there a way on how to change the setting???i'm trying but i can't open the icon "language setting" and when i tried to take pictures when i press the shutters there is a warning signal! and the notes are in japanese.tnx

Remove the battery and press and hold the power button for a min. then reinsert the battery and turn the power back on and then try to change the language again.

I have a dsc w530 from japan need to setup language to english because current setting is at japanes

Press the MENU button, then select Settings (toolbox icon) then go to Main Settings (Wrench and Hammer icon) then go to Language Setting (not sure if it has an icon, try one by one) then choose English.

Press the MENU button to bring up the main menu. Use cursor-down to select Settings (toolbox icon) and press * in the center of the cursor pad. Use cursor-up/down to select Main Settings (wrench and hammer icon), press cursor-right, and then *. Select the second item on this menu.

You should be able to change the language back to English under the settings menu which starts on page 62 of your camera manual and the language setting manual is designated by a letter A inside of a box as shown on page 69 of your camera manual.
