Ds says "There is no DS Card inserted" when there

There is most likely a problem with the connectors in the DS or the cartridge. Try putting rubbing alcohol on a q-tip and cleaning the DS Card's connectors (don't drench it). Let it dry completely before putting the cartridge back in.

DS doens't recoginize R4 card in my sons DS Lite. My other sons DS does recoginize the R4 card. Why? how can I get the card to work in both DS Lites.

Make sure you bought the correct R4 for the DS light and not the DSi. If you bought the correct one, then it sounds like the R4 cartridge is defective and needs to be exchanged for another one. Remember, Nintendo does not support the R4 cartridge, so go back to where you purchased it from.

Problem with the game cards

You need a new cartridge game reader.. Or.. If you're not doing this..

Insert the game, and cut the game on with it inserted and see if it reads.

My ds lite will not read any games

You may have a bent pin on the game slot. Try inserting a game several times rapidly in and out. Look at your game cartridges and see if one of the contacts is damaged in the same place on all of the cartridges.

If this does not solve the issue, you will need to get your console repaired. Either the repair shop will replace all of the electronics or resolder a new game slot on your existing board.

There is a DS Option Pak Inserted

okay: do not worry this is not a problem the the slot 2 cartridge is not a game and therefore cannot be played :) so there is nothing wrong with it. you can trust me on this one, I have one of these. The only thing this bottom cartridge is, is kind of like an adapter to connect to the computer. you should have recieved a usb cable that goes along with the cartridge. when your ds is turned off, you can connect the usb side of the cable to your computer, and the other side to the bottom cartridge, ( note that you should also have the slot 1 card in the top game slot while doing this ) then turn on your ds, and click on the the top game (not the option pack) then it should give you the option to go to usb mode. im sorry if i made this seem too complex, but you can email me at [email protected] for more help, if you'd like :)

DS Card Not Recognized

the card slot may be dusty, blow gently into it (making sure no spittle gets in) or get a clean cloth and wipe the outside of it. On no account must the slot get wet, or it will probably get damaged and will not work.
