Avanti W851 Top Load Washer, Self Cleaning Lint Filter

Further to my answer yesterday:
If you have a manual filter remove and clean.
Tub drain may be blocked.
Self cleaning filter or trap may be clogged.

the problem with push button washers is that the buttons can be in a partially pressed position and that causes all sorts of problems like what you describe
covered is good but a button could be partially pushed from something being placed on the cover
start from one end and press/ release all buttons to check for button problem

No Lint Filter sorry you have a basic design washing machine, Dont replace it though it wont do u any justice just pocketbook pain

There is a fine screen on the bottom of the inner tub under the agitator. It is self cleaning every time it spins out. If you use too much fabric softener, the screen can get clogged. Fabric softener is hard to clean off and the screen is pretty delicate.

Most US-sold washers made after the mid 1980s don't have lint filters. The manufacturers weasel-word around it by saying that the lint "goes down the drain", leading people to optimistically assume that there is a self-cleaning filter in there somewhere. There usually isn't and whatever lint doesn't go down the drain is filtered by your cloths (but whatever does might clog your septic system). It has a self cleaning lint filter. Front loaders call for "Special" HE detergent .....and I would only use about a table spoon..You may be Cloging the special self cleaning lint filter ,with extra soap .Top loaders use a lot of water compared to front loaders. There are many possible cause of a leak. If it is set to portable make sure that the faucet is off after the cycle. You also need to make sure that you are not over loading the washing machine. Please refer to owners manual how much is the capacity your washing machine can take. Drain lines is also a possibility for this leak as well as the intake inlet. If it's leaking in the center most likely the bearing have broke off and you might need a new center seal. This job requires a professional to be replaced. My advice for Avanti users is to return it and buy something else that is trusted and branded for quality and performance.
