Oven fan won't switch off

I have owned this range oven for 8 years and it's worked fine upto now. The problem i am having is that the oven fan continues to run for 30 to 45 minutes after the oven has been shut off. Also, makes a ticking sound when the oven light is off (oven door is closed)..

Any help would be useful.

thanks

it's a digital clock and sometimes our local area has very brief power outages, which requires the us to reset the times on the clock

It sounds like the clock on the oven has been adjusted, if the clock has been adjust the fan will continue to "Cool Down" the oven for the period set on the clock, it is also a possibility tht the clock is faulty, is the clock digital or Analouge

De dietrich range cooker very noisy when oven on?

Have you checked the exhaust fans within the oven? These can make a lot of noise if something has come lose. They should be located at the top of your oven or on the back. I would check that.
Good luck

Smeg Oven electric burning smell

My Smeg cooker worked fine for 5 years. Then I noticed that the fan which stays on after you turn off the oven did not ever turn off, unless you switched the oven off at the fuse box. I think this is a fan that cools the oven down, but some bit of it is now broken because it doesn't realise that the oven has cooled down. It smells funny when you first turn it on, so I don't know if that is an electrical fault smell. Model possibly 70cm A420-5, but could be an earlier model (bought in April 2000). Is double oven with 4 rings on top, 70cm wide.

Jenn air s136 stove won,t self clean

You've probably already read pages 34 through 37 of the owners manual for this oven. We had this stove in the house we bought and the owner wrote in his own directions, which seem to work fine:

1. Turn knob selector to clean.
2. Turn temp knob to clean.
3. Close and lock door.
4. Push enter button and turn dial clockwise to desired time.
5. Push enter button again.

You've probably already tried this, but just in case I figured I'd pass it along.

Smoke from oven

I am a recently retired appliance engineer of 20 years sounds like pure coincidence, check the fan for circuit at terminals, and / or check for movement of blades, that you have not got fan jammed, replace fan motor unit if needed, still cheaper than a call out if i have helped rate me work with safety all the time, unplug at all times when working on any item
