Maytag washing machine walks across floor during spin cycle

Did you set the back feet before leveling? On most units to set and lock the back feet you need to pull the top towards you so that the back is raised off the floor, then set it down again, this will release the feet and lock then down. The you level the two front feet. After this is done you must make sure your load is balanced. Distribute the items as evenly as you can in the tub. Once it gets to the spin cycle if its walking or shaking a lot, stop it and redistribute the items more evenly in the tub. Also try not to overload the unit or combining many heavy items with few light ones. If this is a new machine, did you remove the shipping locks from the back before using it? They have plastic strips attached to them, make sure they have all been removed, as well as any shipping bolts.

Hi

for the question of water comming in the spin cycle, yes its normal we call it a spray rinse. For the shaking check your leveling and also make sure that the back leveling feet when lifting back of washer up and down that the foot mechanism is functining.

Hope this helps

Washer walks across floor on spin cycle and my level says its level

If the level is registering the machine as level, then you probably have an unbalanced load that is causing it to "walk." When it starts walking, lift the lid, wait until the spinning stops and redistribute the articles in the basket. I hope this helps. Front load washer shakes violently during spin cycle

On something like this you will need to remove the washer wrap to inspect the suspension springs & base assembly. Please see the link provided for accessing the inside of the washer. Be sure the shipping pins have been removed. The tub should float freely.

Walking during the spin cycle

Is your floor level, first thing. Okay, the rear 2 legs are not adjustable so leave it. The front 2 legs should be screwed up (ie the machine should be at the lowest level in front) and there are check nuts to tighten inside the body of the machine. Check the machine it it rocks by using your hand against it. Adjust accordingly, this is if your floor is not too good. You shd not hv any problem. If the rocking persists check inside machine, behind after getting he plug off wall, maybe shockabsorbers hv come off, springs?.....

and rate me please if helped.............

Washer appears to be out of balance

Double check the screws holding the washer to the pedestal to make sure they are tight and make sure all the jam nuts on the leveling legs are tight. Loose jam nuts are the most common cause of this.

If they are tight, loosen the right front leg and screw it up until the weight is off the floor. Then run it back down until it contacts the floor. Put the washer in high spin and tighten it down to the floor until you get the spot where there is the least vibration. Tighten jam nut, and check it again in spin with a load of clothes.

Post back and let me know how this works.

Walking during the spin cycle

Try placing it on a rubber mat or carpet that has a rubber backing. The floor may be too smooth and allows it to walk.
