No driver needed. What you need to do is format the DVD if it has information on it then: remove - clean [ I recommend Windex] and try again.
This message usually means you're using a new DVD and it needs to be formatted to use with your program that writes to it. just go to DVD - right click the DVD and select FORMAT DISK - then be sure you do not have 'quick format' selected for the first FORMAT. When it finishes you will have a clean -ready to use DVD.
IF YOU HAVE INFORMATION on the DVD disk - remove it - clean it and reinsert it into the DVD player. If it STILL doesn't work - try another DVD player to see if it works there. If it does then - try removing your DVD player from your device manager list and then reboot your pc - this rebooting will allow the unit to reload the drivers. BE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM DISK HANDY.
Once you reload your DVD player and driver it will work for you unless the DVD has a fatal error or is broken.
