hi i found the problem in hp laserjet 2420 printer error 41.2

Cartridge comes along with memory, the information of estimated ink/toner levels will stored in this memory(Depends upon the cartridge model yield will varies). When printer performs the printing, memory count will comes down, when its reaches the minimum count printer will display the message of "low ink/toner/remain pages" levels, once its reaches to '0', display will changes like "replace the cartridge"...But there is no electronic component or mechanism to measure the ink/toner levels in the cartridges.Only estimated levels only printer can recognizes.. Take usage page through menu, you will get the information that usage % & printed pages info,you can judge how much remain it can print...

I think you have a bad memory module, or a bad system board, did it happened after a power loss or power surg??? (common for these printers)

Have you tried to reset it to factory default (according to service manual)

This is either a firmware error or a memory error.

Try downloading and installing new firmware from HPs website.
Instructions are on the site.

remanufactured / compatible toner? sounds like defects to me. try OEM, or another supplier

Use the PIN code 11240002 for the HP LaserJet 2400 product series, if you would like the manual reply with your email address (the manual is 9.21mb).

Try to reinstall your software, if it is show the error again replaced the memory and then try to power on the printer.
