Coffee is too weak

Is there a way to adjust the strength of the coffee brew? I have tried adjusting the grind but the coffee is still weak in my opinion. When I look at the brew, it appears to be quite strong at the beginning but then becomes quite watery. Any suggestions?

Hi there,
I just spoke to someone at customer service. My coffee has been weak and kind of thin. We had the Superautomatica by Saceo for years and I remembered the coffee being richer.
Anyway! The person suggested that I adjust the grind but slowly. So set it to the coarsest setting, brew 2-3 cups. Then put it to the 2nd-coarsest setting, brew 2-3 cups. To the third, brew 2-3 cups. To the forth, brew 2-3 cups. Etc. Until you're at the finest grind setting. Again, brew 2-3 cups. An awfully sensitive machine. It seems to have worked although the last few seconds of brewing continue to be a kind of milky colour (as opposed to a deep black coffee colour). You can, though, press the "cup" button to stop the brew. So once, it starts running milky, you can stop the cycle.
I hope this helps. I know I've been struggling and cursing the machine for a while :)

The machine you have has a Opti Dose system, which means it senses the amount of coffee grind. If overloading the brewunit, it will automatically reduce the amount of grind by 10, it too little it will increase the amount of grindby 2.Itis controlled by the drawing of current from the gear motor. So it is important that brewunit is kept cleaned and well lubricate to get optimum amount.

Not really a coffee expert myself but if your griding your own coffee perhaps changing the brand of beans your using might give you a stronger richer coffee.

it maybe helpful to find a coffee you like in your local coffee shop / starbucks and ask them if they sell the beans that make it then have ago at recreating it at home.

if possible you may want to check and clean any filters you have in your coffee maker as these may need cleaning replacing as well?

The coffee grind could be too fine and or not enough coffee is being added to the brew chamber after the machine grinds it. You can try to adjust the amount of coffee being used for an espresso and or adjust the grind.

Grinds too long coffee still weak

You can adjust the grind, finer will give you stronger coffee. Think water through sand vs. pebbles. There are also settings you can find in your owners manual for adjusting the length and strength of your "pull".
Try Julius Meinl espresso roast, it's dark, rich and sweet. Definitely my favortie.

How can I ajust my machine the coffee is coming out weak and watery I don't get that creamy, strong coffee anymore

HI
There are more than a few things that can cause weak coffee.
Grind is too coarse. It should look like coarse sugar.
You cleaned the brew unit and left a part out or put it in incorrectly.
Grind adjustment is set too high. Turn to a lower # while the grinder is operating.
Grinder is been taken apart and not put back together correctly.
Grinder is broken and the grinds are just big chunks.

I have the Cuisinart Auto Grind & Brew and don't know how to program to brew stronger coffee...manual lost. Can you provide assistance? I've tried to download manual but can't.

The only way to adjust strength of coffee on the Grind&Brew is by changing how much water you use. The container for the beans only holds enough for 10 cups of coffee.

I Have a new Bunn CW15-APS and am trying to make it produce stronger coffee. How do you adjust coffee strength since this system is so automatic?

To get stronger coffee, I would advice adding more coffee to the brew basket or using a slightly finer grind.

Saeco talea touch - grinds & brews coffee into grounds drawer??

Try this, adjust the grind to a coarser setting atleast 2 numbers, then remove brew unit and look behind at white plastic valve, there is a small chamber under valve make sure chamber is clean and that the small discharge from chamber to drain tray is also clear. Then remove shower screen from brew unit and clean if necessary, also check the tube from the shower. Reinsert and test.

Grind is too coarse and "pucks" are wet and fall apart.

You say " I am getting a weak brew because of not being able to adust the grind to more coarse with the adjustment knob in the bean hopper" By making it more coarse you are making it weaker. Unless you just wrote it wrong. To make it stronger you should lower the grinder number to a smaller number. Usually about 4-6. Be sure you have the grinder grinding when you move it to a lower number. The pump noise could be that in shipping your pump came loose from it's mount. Nothing you can do without sending it to a Authorized Saeco Repair shop.
