You need to formate your mmc..

hi, U actually didnt set it in the 1st place.
This is a recurring problem with Nokia handsets.

Please do not format your mmc just yet!

You can solve this by DE-ACTIVATING THE PIN CODE..

so go to Tools-->Security (if the 6233 is anything like the E50)..then deactiviate the pin code & any other security code you have on.

The next step is to SWITCH OFF YOUR PHONE.

Now SWITCH it ON again.
Yippee, you should now be able to access the content of your MMC.

i suggest you just make do with your unlock code or security code & not set the pin code.

If it ever requests the password again, then follow the procedure above.

put ur locked memory card in N70 and format it... hope it will work... or go to some mobile repairing shop there you'll find a tool called MMC-unlocker... they will unlock it if you want your data back...

The default security code for Nokia is 12345.

You can recover the password for MMC card. The best way is to download a file manager to your phone. I use Best Fileman for my N70, from http://www.smartphoneware.com/ It’s for series 60and 40. The trial version should be enough, it’s only £5.60 anyway. You'll have to find one for your phone, that may not be so easy. I don't know of a File manager for Nokia 5200.

In the file manager (when installed on your phone) you’ll find under- C:\System\mmcstore -the file you’re looking for, you have to rename the file- mmcstore.txt -then send it to another mobile (best way) or your PC via Bluetooth or USB, open it on the other phone or PC, and your password will be revealed.
Rename that file- mmcstore.txt -to just- mmcstore -there might be another file named- mmcstore.txt -to view your password rename one or the other- mmcstore1.txt -one is for your phone PIN number the other your MMC card.

i have kingston's memory card(micro sd) i have never set a password. first when the set is alright it doesn't requires the password to unlock the memor card for my set but in others set it requires the password.but when i have given my nokia 6300 to the nokia care center,now it requires a password which i have never set.But the other mmc which i got with my mobile is working alright.So,please suggest me a solution to unlock my mmc.
