I have a blackberry that will not charge - RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100 Smartphone

Have you tried plugging the BlackBerry is different outlets or tried a different USB cord?

Does the BlackBerry show a charging symbol or is the LED flashing red or green?

Hi,

Take the phone off charge and take off the battery on the phone, you can now put the battery back into the phone. Press and hold the red power button on your phone. If the problem persist then go ahead and download the blackberry desktop manager unto your computer. Connect your blackberry to the computer and initiate the blackberry desktop manager. Once it shows connected as status between the phone and your BDM (blackberry Desktop Manager). Reinstall the software on your blackberry. Make sure the computer is connected to the internet.

Are you using the AC Adapter, or USB sync cable to computer to charge? If using your computer to charge, you will need to have USB Driver for your BlackBerry Model installed. Could also be that your USB Port on your BB is damaged. You can use an external Battery Charger to charge your Battery http://www.amazon.com/Blackberry-External-Battery-Charger-8300/dp/B002YGYLA8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1263514496&sr=8-2

Open the back cover and clean the contacts with DRY CLOTH.

Make sure the BB and battery contacts are all line up.

Close the cover.

Use the wall charger to charge the BB for 2+ hours.


DO NOT use the USB data cable to charge your Blackberry.

When the PC/Laptop/Mac go to power saving/SLEEP mode it will cut off the charge to the Blackberry.

Plug the power pack in a different wall socket and it the Blackberry charge.

are you using the charger that came with the BlackBerry?  cause sometimes that can make a difference.
otherwise you might just need to get a new charger.
and usually the wall chargers work the best.
i had a BlackBerry Pearl 8100 and the same thing happened to mine.

Its the problem with the battery. Soo try getting a new one. Its not the charger,

Take out the battery and check the connections for lint. Reinstall battery and see if it will reboot.
