Toggle the hold switch.
Press and hold the Play and Menu buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds. This will restart the iPod OS.

Its an easy fix..Just simply hold the menu button while holding the middle select button on your ipod.Hold that untill a ipod apple shows up..Make sure that your ipod is not on hold that should fix the problem!
