Usually, when your battery has been in the charger long enough for it to be fully charged, the indicator light either changes color, or turns off. This indicates that the charge is complete.
Does your light do either, change color or turn off?
If neither of these works right, check your user manual, usually in the back, which will tell you what the indicator lights mean.
If your camera and battery are doing what they are supposed to be doing, then you may have bought a faulty camera, or the battery which came with it was faulty.
Be certain to read the manual very carefully, to be certain that you are following the instructions properly. If you have done everything right, then return the camera and or battery to the place from which you purchased the camera, and have them check it out to ensure that all is proper.

D60 will not turn on - why?

If the camera has only been off for a few months, I would recommend that you take the camera and the battery to a camera shop, verify that the current battery is holding a charge and then check the camera with another battery.

Nikon camera battery keeps losing charge

If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

Nikon Coolpix won't charge no matter what

The internal battery, which is kept charged by the removable battery, has probably run down. Take it to a repair facility.

I dropped my Nikon D60 and now it does not power on I would like to know why???

There are several possible reasons. One is indeed the battery. If the camera powers on with a different battery pack then that would point rather conclusively at the battery.
Another possibility is that the drop damaged or broke the battery contacts inside the camera. Another is that the drop damaged or broke something else inside the camera.
First, try another battery pack. If you don't have one, go to a Nikon dealer and ask to try one. If the camera powers on with that, then buy a new battery and dispose of the old one. If the camera doesn't power on, then you'll have to have the camera serviced.

Nikon d60 - error. turn camera off and on again.

Locate the button behind the shutter release button with the green dot next to it. Locate the button at the back lower hand side of the D60 with the green dot next to it. Press both buttons at the same time.........This resets the D60 to its original settings and should resolve the problem.....

Nikon D60 won't turn on

I thought the battery charged via the USB cord. It has to be charged only via the wall charger. Problem solved. I'm just a dummy!
