Hi,

In order to find the wireless security page of your Dlink wireless router DGL 4300 , please follow these setps

1. Open up the internet explorer in the comp in which you are online and clear the address bar and type in the number 192.168.0.1 and hit enter.

2. You will be logged into the D-Link router setup page .

3. Under the SETUP tab, in the left hand side, click on WIRELESS SETTINGS? you will find Wireless security Mode under which you can find the password for the wireless settings.

I think its the security encryption set-up.You change it in your router..I think its WPA-TKIP..or WEP..

If you know how to change then you can easily try it.

Have you tried a different browser to login to the router?? Make sure you do not have any browser toolbars installed on the computer as they can often interfere with secure logins.

The default IP address for this router is 192.168.0.1. Try that. If it is assigning ip addresses to your computer, you can check under status of network connections by right clicking the lan connection, left-clicking status, then click the support tab. The IP address listed next to gateway should be your routers IP address.

To open a port on a router involves several steps.

1) Log into your router from your browser, this is generally at address 192.168.1.1

2) Type in your username and password (this varies from vendor to vendor)

3) Once logged in, go to the Advanced Tab, and then click on Gaming on the side menu.

4) Under the Add Game Rule, put the name, IP address can be left blank, and then set ports to open to 80.

5) Save changes.

You must set static IP on your computer where the utorrent is installed. Make sure no firewalls are enabled on your computer like windows firewall or any other firewall like norton, mcaffe, zone alarm and the likes. You should forward the port on separate protocol. Go to portforward.com for more information on how to forward port for utorrent

Connect them to the router. Aslong as the router is configured for DHCP (and it should be so, even in it's default state), they should both work just fine.

Glad to hear the new one is working (it's likely or at least possible, that the old one is simply mis-configured - resetting back to it's factory defaults and starting from scratch should help with the bridging issue)
