Make sure you have an analog RCA audio cable from the source to the receiver. Digital coaxial or optical will not work for zone 2 or zone 3. By adding an analog cable it will not affect your main zone, it will always go to digital first. Hope this helps

My HTR-6060 plays through the tuner and dvd but not the DTV/CBL

Digital settings need to be assigned by the receiver in the ption Menu >> Audio Select.

Check the one for the HDMI from DTV/CBL.

Sound from tuner but no other devices

The RX-V365 cannot process audio from the HDMI cables (you will still be able to hear it on your TV), you will need to run a seperate coaxial or optical cable into the audio input for the relevant component on the back of the RX-V365.

I have two Component Video products (DVD and Cable Receiver) plugged in but can't get the DVD to work. How do I switch from one to the other? This is for a Yamaha RX=V550

Inputs on your receiver are assignable. Assign one input to DVD function and other input to DTV/CBL for example. Refer to page 49 of your manual for instructions.

On zone 2 of my yamaha rx v663 receiver it says fixed when I try to adjust the vlume and won't let me cut it up or down.

Check the setup menu of the receiver on zone 2 settings most likely the error is a fixed volume setting for this zone. If not found, reset factory settings and try to setup everything again. If the problems persists, contact your vendor if still under warranty.

Verizon Fios connection issue with RX-V663 Receiver

I had the same problem with RXV3900, was told by verizon and yamaha it's a software issue with the box. Verizon is suppose to be working on a new update, but no time frame for now. I'm using component to receiver, and hdmi to tv with no issues.

Front speakers no sound!

Most likely you have pressed the speaker AB switch, try pressing it again and see if it works.

Yamaha RX-V663 - HDMI doesn't work.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, a workaround:
  • as you posted, audio out of the DVD goes to the receiver;
  • HDMI out of the DVD goes to the Schaub Lorenz LCD.
Even if it were a compatibility issue or HDMI processor issue on the receiver, the above should get you going.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.
