Take the batteries out of the remote. If the problem stops, the remote maybe needs cleaning. I don't think it's a Quark in the programming. If you're handy with a soldering iron, look for cold solder points on chips. And any other component.

I would try Ebay or try google to see if you can track down a panel. The panel you need is a M260TWR1 R1. The problem you may find is that it will cost more to replace the screen that what the set is worth.

Select menu in remote control, select format, change ratio size to fit your screen. If you do not know the correct format, you may have to try all the options.
