Epson R300 printer leaking blue ink on rollers

Epson programmed their printer to monitor the waste ink counter andyour printer has reached the maximum value allowed, you have to resetyour printer to clear the waste ink counter.

To reset the counter, download re-setter program here, install and follow the instruction in the web site.

Make sure the printer is on and not printing. Have a new cartridge handy, as this installation should be done in one session.

Note if the "cartridge is low" or the "cartridge is empty" light is activated on the printer and follow the specific instructions carefully in the document below for each situation.

Press Ink button;
Select Ink Cartridge Replacement
Press OK
changer cartridge
then press OK
And wait for initializing

I would take all the ink back to the store and insist on new ink. It wouldnt hurt. Good first place to start.

Try re-installing the newest driver, install Rosetta if you havent already. Then Remove and then Add the printer again in the System Settings. Works every time.

Try going online to Windows Update and see if there is an update,same for epson's site.Also look at Microsoft's XP knowledge Base and search for this issue.My guess is the drivers for the printer needs updating.Good luck

try re-installing the printer driver software or getting an updated driver from epson.com>drivers+support> enter the necessary type of printer( all-in-1 or stand-alone) find ur model. choose correct OS for ur system and get a free download of the driver if ur driver is not up-2-date. epson,mac,ancient,slow,outta date, windows, 3 computers on 2 floors in our townhouse. cross-platforming upstairs/downstairs. with getting all to work on all 3 computers. mac 10.2.8, windows XP, windows vista...lol. don't ask why i'm skinny. i love Epson scanners+printers for yrs. now. Use their site to death. it's a great source.-Jacki
